Oroboros often represents self-reflexivity or cyclicality, especially in the sense of something constantly re-creating itself, the eternal return, and other things perceived as cycles that begin anew as soon as they end.
Caliborn is using his juju in Jake’s hands to somehow trigger something to turn him into Lord English. He will then travel back in time to make a stable time loop to make sure he thinks of this plan, thus Lord English constantly re-creates himself through time loops.
